Gmail Now Tells You Where Your Email Comes From

For those of us who sit in front of the same desk all year long, it’s not that exciting; but if you’re traveling a lot, you might find it to be nice to let people know where you are. Of course, if for any reason you don’t want everyone to know where you are at any given time, you’d probably do well to forget about this option altogether.

Your location is determined by your public IP address, which means it won’t always work perfectly. If you want more precise location detection, install a version of Google Gears that supports the location module.
